About THE LOCKDOWN CLUB:

This powerful story is an urban and modern day take on the 80's hit film , "The Breakfast Club". In "THE LOCKDOWN CLUB", six teens are stuck in a classroom with their teacher while the school is on lockdown because someone is outside shooting. Their personalites couldn't be more different. A gay kid, a jock, a church girl, a nerd and a popular cheerleader. With bullets flying outside and the heat of being crammed in the classroom; we wonderif they will make it out alive, or kill each other first.

This play debuted in 2006 and had a successful run at several Los Angeles theaters and schools.

It was made into a 30 MINUTE FILM IN 2006, Directed by Layla Mashavu Written By Valerie Udeozor

THE LOCKDOWN CLUB FILM was the 2007 "Audience Choice-Best Short" winner in the prestigious MARTHAS VINEYARD AFRICAN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL.
